They are all cold pressed oils, and you could certainly use them in cooking - this means that they nourish the skin as well as lubricating it!

Himalayan Salt Stone & Crystal Therapy - 35 euros

The 'signature' full body Himalayan Salt Stone & Crystal Therapy is an exciting new treatment which combines the benefits of heated salt stones mined deep in the Himalayan mountains with the unique qualities of healing gemstones.

The warm Himalayan Salt Stones deeply relax you and help balance the central nervous system. They are hand carved salt crystals from one of the most pristine environments in the world – salt caves deep below the Himalayan Mountains.

The treatment combines Ayurvedic massage techniques, thermal therapy, salt therapy, marma point pressure work and the healing qualities of crystals and gemstones.

The salt stones and hot rocks are warmed dry and are used to massage you using traditional Ayurvedic techniques, and to lay on strategic points and in specific combinations to balance the body's energy pathways and electromagnetic field. This results in very deep relaxation and may improve sleep and reduce inflammation in addition to mild detoxification and exfoliation.

The crystals are used in layouts to provide a layer of subtle and spiritual healing.

The heat from the hot stones penetrates to a deeper level than we can achieve with manual massage, bringing about physiological changes as well as influencing the body's internal energy flow (prana) – this brings about rebalance to the whole person. Coconut and jojoba oils are used to give slip and nourish the skin during the treatment.

The Himalayan Salt stones can also be chilled and used cold, and this brings a different range of benefits. Cold stones are excellent to ease decongestion e.g. deep tissue inflammation or sinus problems. They assist the reduction of erythema (redness) and soothe irritation which may occur to sensitive skins during a hot stone treatment. They are delicious on a hot day, and one or two stones used at the end of a treatment will help you come gently back.

The crystals each have their own special qualities – Crystal Therapy is a speciality in its own right, and in this treatment crystals are used to bring balance and add an extra layer of subtle healing to your massage session.

Massage is a perfect way to nurture our bodies and ourselves. Incorporating stones and crystals into a treatment enhances the power of this contact.

This is a treatment which both men and women will enjoy.

Indian Head Massage - 30 euros

Indian Head Massage uses relaxing traditional Indian techniques derived from Ayurveda. You normally sit comfortably in a chair to enjoy your massage and you do not need to remove any clothing - although it helps if you wear a strappy top or vest for your Indian Head Massage session. Sarongs are available if you would like to wear one.

You can opt whether to have the traditional oils. The massage includes a short facial sequence, and you will always be offered a choice of specialist facial oil, moisturiser or nothing at all. Indian Head Massage is effective with or without the oils but please be aware your hair will be disturbed.

The massage is performed on the upper back, shoulders, upper arms, neck, face and scalp. Stress affects major muscle groups in the neck and shoulders and Indian Head Massage often brings immediate relief as tension is eased and knots and nodules are removed. Indian Head Massage helps improve the efficiency of the circulatory and lymphatic systems and as toxins are thrown out from tense muscles, flexibility and fluidity of movement are restored.

Indian Head Massage begins with work on the neck and shoulders, and involves deep kneading of the muscles combined with feather-light touch and work on the reflex points. This treatment is a thorough massage, but also a subtle and gentle therapy. The head is worked next, and the scalp is squeezed, rubbed and gently tapped before the pressure points (marmas) are gently worked upon. The hair is briskly tussled and lightly combed, and the ears are pressed and lightly tugged. The final stage involves works on marma pressure points on the face to relieve any sinus pressure, stimulate the circulation and increase alertness.

Indian Head Massage may help soothe away stress and promotes optimum health. You will breathe more deeply, releasing suppressed emotions and negative energy. There is space for more positive feelings to grow and this simple massage offers you a powerful source of energy, relaxation and rejuvenation.

Thai Foot Reflex - 30 euros

Thai Foot Massage is part of Traditional Thai Massage practices which originated in Thailand around 2000 years ago. Thai medicine uses meditation, herbs and massage to heal at all levels.

Thai Foot Massage is a treatment of the feet, legs and hands which relaxes and soothes tired muscles and aching joints and balances the subtle energies to bring general wellbeing. It uses the ten major energy lines of the body which run from the top of the head all the way to the soles of the feet and to the hands. The energy lines end in pressure points on the feet which make up a complete map of the entire body and all its organs. Thai Foot Massage manipulates these different points to stimulate the body and mind and restore balance to the person.

Thai Foot Massage is great for runners and athletes as it is a massage of the feet and lower legs, as well as a treatment of the reflex points of the feet and the energy points in the legs. It is a good addition to a sports therapist's skills or for coaches.

Thai Foot Massage heals physically and emotionally as well as spiritually. How does it work on the physical level? As with other types of massage, Thai Foot Massage increases blood flow and lymphatic drainage and this helps move waste products toxins out of the body via the elimination systems. Reiki-energy Thai Foot massages include the use of oils and other Thai-style products to soften the skin and pamper the feet. Thai Foot Massage works on the emotional and spiritual levels by stimulating the pressure points of the feet and hands, and stimulating the energy lines (sen) in the legs to produce a balanced flow of energy.

Following a Thai Foot Reflex treatment, you will feel centred and grounded. The aim of Thai Foot Massage is to enhance your physical and emotional state and aid your spiritual growth by keeping you balanced at the energetic level and relaxed at the physical level. Thai Foot Massage may bring you a number of benefits:

•Relieve stress and tension

•Help insomnia

•Relieve mental fatigue

•Help remove anxiety

•Improve the circulation in your legs, hands and feet

•Reduce the chances of developing rheumatic and arthritic problems in your feet

•Stimulate lymphatic drainage

•Boost your immune system

•Improve flexibility in your feet, hands and legs

•Relieve tiredness in the legs and feet, leaving them refreshed

Indian Marma Facial Massage - 30 euros

Gives you a natural facelift! Indian Facial Massage uses traditional Indian techniques to release and free tensions lying within the connective tissue, and combines them with work on the pressure points or marmas, as they are called in Ayurveda. This pressure point work will help balance your subtle energies, leaving you feeling relaxed and refreshed. The massage helps enhance the overall condition of the skin and balance its natural oils by stimulating drainage and bringing fresh blood flow to the skin.

Indian Facial Massage is a natural way of achieving a radiant glow to your complexion, whatever your age or skin type.
Indian Facial Massage gently works on the muscles of the face, relaxing and toning them to bring a rejuvenating lift to bring out the shape of the face, particularly the cheek bones and jawline, making you look and feel young, energised and relaxed. A tense, tired face is ageing - and looking at a computer screen or peering through the windscreen against a strong sun all day causes us to tense the facial muscles, making us feel and look older and tired. Indian Facial Massage will iron out the frown between your eyes and bring a gentle, relaxed expression to your face - making you both look and feel better!

Crystal Therapy - 25 euros

Crystal therapy uses gemstones in a variety of different layouts on or around the client to help balance the subtle energies and enable the person to achieve harmony and move towards a healthier state of mind, body and soul.
Gemstones have been used in subtle energy and bodywork for many centuries, and are an element of Indian Ayurveda - this is how I came to learn about them.

A full consultation is carried out before the session, and stones are chosen which the client is drawn to and which suit the needs which have emerged during the consultation.

If you wish to combine crystal therapy with Reiki or with a Holistic Massage, then please ask during your consultation or when booking.

Reiki Treatments - 25 euros

Imagine leaving your daily cares behind and moving gently into a peaceful state where your inner self has the space and time to make itself heard. Peace and loving care flow to you, soothing the wounds and scars you bear and leaving you with a sense of safety and serenity.

A Reiki session brings a flow of energy which helps you to achieve balance and to heal naturally, in your own time. It leaves you better able to deal with the challenges you face at every level in your life. Reiki is a simple healing process which benefits all of us and can be safely used with other complementary and conventional forms of medicine to help you reach optimum health and happiness.

What problems does Reiki help with?
Reiki assists recovery and balance at every level - physical, mental and emotional.

Reiki is very helpful if you are upset, distressed or depressed. It may help your recovery from distress, upset and depression. For example, if you are suffering from being bullied or dealing with difficult people then Reiki sessions may help you cope better. Reiki works well with other therapies such as counselling and can lead to better progress towards happiness and experiencing joy once again.

Reiki can help promote physical recovery in conditions such as sports injuries, problems resulting from accidents as well as painful diseases such as rheumatism, arthritis and sciatica. It brings balanced energy flow which brings us improvements in our wellbeing at all levels.

Reiki encourages you in developing positive personal change such as giving up smoking, reducing your alcohol intake and eating a healthier diet.

Reiki has been used alongside medical treatment to help patients with problems such as heart disease, strokes and cancer.

Reiki complements conventional medical treatment and other therapies and may enhance their effectiveness. Reiki is not a substitute for medical diagnosis and treatment and you should continue to follow medical advice and let your doctor, counsellor or other therapist know that you are receiving Reiki.

What does the treatment involve?
First of all, no clothing is removed during the session. It is a good idea to wear a comfortable outfit to enable you to relax and you may wish to take off your tie, scarf, belt or any large items of jewellery but this is not absolutely necessary.

You can receive Reiki either lying comfortably on a massage couch with cushions and blankets to support you and keep you warm or simply relax in a chair and look out over the garden. You may have the therapist's choice of music but do feel free bring your own - some clients prefer silence. Aromatherapy oils are offered to scent the room and enhance your healing experience, but feel free to decline them if you wish.

The session involves the therapist laying her hands in a series of positions around your head and body - posters in the therapy room show you how and where. If you are uncomfortable with touch then the hands will be held over the different areas, hovering within the aura, or energy body. This makes no difference to the effectiveness of the treatment. Simply say what you would prefer.

Finally, when you come for your first healing session you will be given a short questionnaire to fill in so that the therapist understands what you wish to gain from Reiki. It gives you an opportunity to tell her about you and to make choices about your session - physical touch or working in the energy body, whether you would like music, aromatherapy or crystals to be used. It is also important that the therapist knows about any allergies, sensitivies or serious health problems or mobility difficulties so that she can work with you appropriately and safely.
